Ladbrokes, the British based gambling company, has launched a new trend on the online poker market: the anonymous tables.
The anonymous tables allow players to enjoy their favourite game, without having to reveal their identity to the opponents. Players can hide their aliases and avatars from the other players on their table.
This new innovation is advantageous for those whose playing style has become too predictable and can influence their opponents' actions. Players can try some new strategies without a record of their past actions.
They will no longer be identified by monikers and cartoon avatars. Ladbrokes says the poker tracking software will be ineffective on the new tables.
Kate McLennan, Head of Poker at Ladbrokes Poker, said: “We are really excited about this launch. Never before have poker players been able to play without other players knowing who they are. This brings an added element to the game for people whose playing style maybe recognizable. For those new to the game, it is an opportunity to try some different moves without getting a reputation because players will simply never know who they are playing against.”
