Liv Boeree, the 26-year-old British poker player has recently joined the professional team of PokerStars.com. The young Brit is one of the hottest ladies in poker.
She became known onto the poker scene when she won the 2010 San Remo European Poker Tour title and scooped $1.7 million in prize money.
But Liv Boeree is more than a pretty face in the poker world. She has a University degree in physics and astrophysics, she is well-known for her love of heavy metal, listening Metallica, Pantera, Fear Factory and Children of Bodom, as her favorite bands. Boeree admits she is not such a huge fan of watching sports, because she prefers playing them. She says she loves table football, riding, roller-coasters and adventure sports like rock climbing, skijing and rafting.
As part of the Team PokerStars Pro, Liv Boeree will have the chance of representing the site in the world's biggest tournaments. She will travel across the globe together with other notable poker pros like: Daniel Negreanu, Joe Cada, Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier, Barry Greenstein or Jason Mercier.
“It's more of an honour than I can really describe,” said Boeree in an interview for PokerStars.com.
“It's something I've been aspiring towards ever since I learned about the world of poker, and I am over the moon to be achieving such a huge personal goal”.
“I hope to grow my game as far as possible by studying and playing as much as I can. I'll hopefully get to use the wonderful resource of the other Team Pros - some of the greatest poker minds in the game! Hopefully I'll use this to produce further results”.
The 26-year-old poker player made his first appearance as a Team PokerStars Pro at the European Poker Tour London event, which took place at the Hilton Metropole Hotel.
