Norwegian Kevin “KevBoyStar” Stani has just won the European Poker Tour Tallinn, after defeating a field of 420 players. The 27 year-old player said he has been playing poker since he was 20.
The PokerStars EPT Tallinn, which had a €4,250 buy-in main event, was the biggest poker tournament ever held in Estonia. The winner took the first place prize of €400,000 and he also won a seat at the Season 7 EPT Grand Final in 2011, as well as an 800 point head-start in the battle for the EPT Season 7 Player of the Year.
“I was playing cash games online and just randomly saw the satellite advertised in the PokerStars lobby. I wanted to come here anyway so I thought I’d play it. It feels awesome to win. I’ve been through some tough times which have made it hard to focus, made it hard to play, but I stayed with poker and told myself things are going to get better. I’m glad I did,” said the 27 year-old business management graduate.
Here are the results at the final table:
1st Kevin Stani (Norway) - €400,000;
2nd Konstantin Bilyauer (Russia) - €250,000;
