Google is working with the technology titans Sony, Intel and Logitech in order to create and to release a new innovative Internet-based television platform, named Google TV. The new devices will go on sale by the end of the year. Google TV will be based on the Android platform and it will run on Google Chrome web browser.
Google TV will open its doors to the online gambling market and it is predicted to improve and to change the face of the online gambling. Google TV will offer many advertising opportunities, favouring the online gaming operators, which already knew a huge influx of online gambling advertisement possibilities for promoting their businesses since Google has just started accepting online casino adverts in their search engine.
In the United States, TV sets show channels and websites and allow viewers to surf different websites, listen to music or watch videos on the same big screen high definition. In Europe, gambling through the TV is already available in some countries, including in the United Kingdom with Netplay TV.
“This opens up your TV from a few hundred channels to millions of channels of entertainment across TV and the Web. Your television is also no longer confined to showing just video. With the entire Internet in your living room, your TV becomes more than a TV - it can be a photo slide-show viewer, a gaming console, a music player and much more. Just type in the name of a TV show and you’re there,” Google said in a statement.
